At Home |
-Students or teachers who feel sick should not attend school. – Students with even mild flu-like symptoms need to be tested and provide a negative COVID-19 test result and be symptom-free before being permitted to return to school. – If a student has other medical reasons for recurrent symptoms, your GP’s letter is sufficient to negate the requirement for a negative test result. – Encourage children’s hygiene habits(regular hand washing, coughing into their elbow or tissue and immediately disposing of in a bin, not sharing their drink bottles and food). |
Drop-off & Pick-up | All students are supposed to arrive at the school gate at 9:10 ~ 9:25 am. and leave school at & Pick-up 12:30 ~ 12.35 pm. – Parents and carers can not enter the school to drop off or pick up their children except special cases where they need to do that for the children’s sake. – Outside the school gate parents and carers should maintain 1.5m physical distancing from each other and avoid gathering. |
Visitor | – People who need to enter the school to support their children on the way to their classes or to do their business with school are regarded as essential visitors. All adults (staff and essential visitors) attending the premises should be fully vaccinated. – The school principal must sight and record the vaccination status of all adults and keep as a record. – All adults (staff and essential visitors) attending the premises should check in and out using the NSW Government QR code system or write down their contact details on the register of visitors before going through their business. They should maintain 1.5m physical distancing wherever practicable. |
In class | – Teachers should maintain accurate class rolls to enable contact tracing in the event of a positive COVID-19 case. – Staff and students aged 12 and over must wear a mask indoors where practical. Students under 12 years of age are strongly encouraged to wear a mask. You can take it off when eating. – Individual classes should be kept separate to minimise risk of transmission. And teachers should ensure 1.5m physical distancing where possible, including at points of mixing or queuing, between seated groups and between staff. – Adopt good hand hygiene practices including hand washing with sanitiser during recess, before and after snack time, and after using toilet, and not touching eyes, noses & mouths with hands. – Singing, chanting, group repetition and choirs are not permitted |
Ventilation | – In indoor areas, increase natural ventilation by opening windows and doors where possible. – In indoor areas, increase mechanical ventilation where possible by optimising air conditioning or other system settings (such as by maximising the intake of outside air and reducing or avoiding recirculation of air). |
After school | – Teachers should clean all high touch surfaces (chairs, desks, door handles, switches, PCs, etc.) in their classrooms utilised with disinfectant before leaving the school. – Teachers should remove any rubbish and empty any bins in their classrooms. |
Record Keeping | – The school should have record keeping procedures in place for visitors. Visitors are required to use the QR code check-in or enter their contact details in case of contact tracing. |
